Holiday Accommodation Greece - Amazing Greece
Holiday accommodation in Symi
Symi has one of the best preserved towns in Greece. The romantic port was once the preserve of the Knights of St John and whispers of their presence remain in amongst the neoclassical houses that line the port and the steep, winding streets that lead up through the village. The town has been relatively untouched by modern developments. One can really get a taste of life in years gone by at the restored 18th century mansion called Chatziagaptios House Museum. There is also a Nautical Museum.

The beaches are mostly shingle and the water clean. The best beach on the island is at Agios Nikolaos Bay where shady trees fringe a sandy shoreline.

Walking is a pleasure on the island and there are many interesting churches and monasteries to brighten the journey.

Sailing around the Dodecanese Islands is wonderful and Symi is no exception. Mooring is available in the naturally sheltered port, also called Symi, on the island's north coast. The island has many small coves just waiting to be explored.
