Holiday Accommodation Greece - Amazing Greece
Holiday accommodation in Rhodes
Rhodes is a firm favourite amongst holidaymakers and it is easy to see why. The island is blessed with many sandy beaches, great nightlife, a surprising number of architecturally interesting and historically important sites and a great range of facilities for activities such as golf, tennis, scuba diving and horse riding. There is certainly more to Rhodes than Faliraki!

Rhodes Town has architecture which reflects the many civilisation that have coloured the Mediterranean: Ancient Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, the Knights of St John and the Venetians have all left their mark on this town. One of the best known monuments, the Colossus of Rhodes, was one of the wonders of the ancient world, bronze deer mark now mark the spot where the statue stood.

There is plenty to explore, Kamiros and Sianna are picturesque villages and those seeking a little after dark excitement might try their luck in the casino in Afandou.

So, we come to Faliraki and one thing is for sure, you cannot ignore it. All there is to say is that this really is a notorious twenty-four hour party zone and is probably best avoided unless you think you can handle it. Certainly worth a visit, however, is the water park in Faliraki.

Surfers like the beach at Prassonisi on the South coast.

Sailing around the Dodecanese Islands is wonderful and Rhodes is no exception.

Rhodes has good flight and ferry connections.
