17 of the 28 sports on the Olympic Games Program will be hosted in these three venues.

ATHENS OLYMPIC SPORTS COMPLEX (AOSC)
The Athens Olympic Sports Complex is located in Maroussi, a northern suburb of Athens. This centerpiece venue will host six of the twenty-eight sports as well as Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
Parts of the complex include :

• The Olympic Tennis Centre
• The Olympic Indoor Hall - Gymnastics (Artistic and Trampoline) and Basketball (quarter final, semi-final and final)
• The Olympic Aquatic Centre - Swimming, Diving, Water Polo and Synchronized Swimming
• The Olympic Velodrome - Cycling Track events.

HELLINIKO OLYMPIC COMPLEX (HOSC)
The Helliniko Olympic Complex is located in the south of Athens. It will host seven of the twenty-eight sports.
The Olympic Baseball Centre.
Parts of the complex include :

• The Olympic Softball Stadium
• The Olympic Hockey Centre
• The Olympic Canoe/Kayak Slalom Centre.

FALIRO COASTAL ZONE COMPLEX (FOSC)
The Faliro Coastal Zone Complex is located near the port of Piraeus.
Parts of the complex include :

• The Peace and Friendship Stadium - the venue for the Volleyball competitions. 
• The Sports Pavilion - Tae kwondo and Handball preliminary competitions.
• The Olympic Beach Volleyball Centre.

OTHER COMPETITION VENUES
The Marathon route will start in Marathon and finish at the Panathinaiko Stadium (Pagrati). 

• The Panathinaiko Stadium (Pagrati) - Archery competition.
• The Cycling Road Race - Athens City Centre Road Race Course.
• Peristeri Olympic Boxing Hall. (West Athens).
• The Galasti Olympic Hall (northwest Athens) - Table Tennis and Rhythmic Gymnastic competition
• Ano Liossia Olympic Hall (northwest region of Athens)- wrestling and Judo.
• The Schinias Olympic Rowing and Canoeing Centre, (northeast Attica).
• The Goudi Olympic Complex - Modern Pentathlon, and Badminton.
• The Agios Kosmas Olympic Sailing Centre (southern Attica) - Sailing competition will take place.
• The Parnitha Olympic Mountain Bike Venue (north of Athens) - Cycling/Mountain Bike competition.
• Vouliagmeni Olympic Centre (southern coast, Athens) - triathalon.
• The Markopoulo Equestrian Centre (South-East of Attika)
• Markopoulo Olympic Shooting Centre (east Attica)
• The Nikaia Olympic Weightlifting Hall, (southwest of Athens).
  

Football will be hosted in stadiums in other parts of Greece: 

• Kaftantzoglio Stadium (Thessaloniki), 
• Pampelonannisiako Stadium (Patras), 
• Panthessaliko Stadium (Volos), 
• Pankritio Stadium (Heraklio).
