Holiday accommodation in Magnessia
Magnessia Prefecture is a land where high green mountains sweep dramatically down to the sea. The main town is Volos. Volos is know as something of a cultural centre but is also a thriving modern port town. The town offers plenty in terms of things to see and do. There is a Museum, a cave (at Malkai) and a steam train at Milies and of course many charming coastal villages close by where one can swim in the blue Aegean Sea. The seafront is also home to many fish tavernas with a fine view over the Pagasitikos Bay.

This is also where you will find the mysterious mountain of Pelion, said to be the domain of the centaurs (half man-half horse). this is a thickly forested mountain which slopes dramatically into the sea. Clinging to the coast, on Pelio, are several very pretty fishing villages, most with a small beach and harbour.

In the winter there is snow skiing at Hania
