Poros is a forested island with a picturesque main port town, overlooked by a clock tower. One well known site on the island is the lemon forest. The smell from the blossom is wonderful in the spring. There are some lovely sandy beaches, water sports can be found in Askeli beach.

Travel to Poros with hydrofoil or ferry from Pireaus or from coastal towns on the east of the Peloponnese.

Sailing around the Saronic Gulf Islands is wonderful and Poros is no exception, the ambience on the north side of the island is more peaceful.
